Back in the olden days, Shelley Miller was a singer/actress in the musical theater. When motherhood beckoned, she put down her microphone and picked up pen and paper. Four kids later, Shelley has stories to share and songs to sing. She holds a BFA in Musical Theater from the Cincinnati Conservatory.

For this Valentine’s Day, Oral Fixation is presenting “Stick Together,” a special show of love, life, and laughter. Taking the Moody Performance Hall stage on February 14 at 8 p.m., our seven storytellers will be delivering something genuine, sweet, and real. From fighting loneliness to fleeing abuse—from overcoming illness to welcoming unconditional love—from dissolving friendships to joining in conjugal bliss, #StickTogether will span the spectrum. After three-plus years of incredible shows featuring brave Dallasites, there was just something special about this month’s show, “Outside the Box.” Many of our fans agreed, leaving the Wyly on Monday and Texas Theatre on Wednesday remarking that it was one of the best shows they could remember. Our seven brave first-time storytellers, with stories as diverse as their personalities, bared their souls on stage with hilarious and heartbreaking tales of an atypical event, time, choice, or decision in their lives. Amanda Rodenborg moved to Texas thirteen years ago after growing up in the Midwest. She is an enthusiastic, if not very accomplished, runner. A sometimes poet and craft beer aficionado, she shares a home in Dallas with her wife, Heather, and Libby the wundermutt.
