For Valentine’s Day this year,
Oral Fixation invites you to “Stick Together”!
Imagine a dark stage, a spotlight, a music stand, and seven individuals reading aloud their personal stories on the Moody Performance Hall stage. This carefully curated theatrical event features true tales that enlighten, engage, and uplift viewers.
Looking to do something different and wondrous for Valentine’s Day? Oral Fixation has the answer! Sweeter than candy and richer than chocolate, “Stick Together” offers the perfect night of love, life, and laughter. From fighting loneliness to finding courage—from overcoming illness to welcoming unconditional love—and from defining friendships to joining in conjugal bliss, on Wednesday, February 14 at 8 p.m., our seven storytellers deliver.
Crow Collection of Asian Art Executive Director Amy Lewis Hofland experiences the power of parental love. Moving to a new city, attorney Monica Berry seeks adventure at Scrabble Club. Actress and singer Shelley Miller struggles and thrives through relationships. Confronting mental illness, educator Sallie Smither Crotty finds power. Author Dannie Olguin Morris survives a childhood of both adventure and terror. Writer Stacey Lee Megally learns what friendship is and isn’t. And Tiana Lightfoot Svendsen deals with a husband stitch gone awry.
Since 2011, Oral Fixation has been bringing Dallasites together in compassion, laughter, and respect. Through this fully-immersive, wildly entertaining, and deeply personal experience, tens of thousands have taken visceral rides with our storytellers, and together walked through personal stories of transformation, change, and ultimately—life. On Valentine’s Day evening, February 14, the adventure continues! Please join us.
