Our Eyes are Fixed On: Mary Gallagher Williams
Lover of the sound of waves crashing on the beach, Scooby Doo, and rolling down hills.
Mary Gallagher Williams discovered her untapped passion for writing several years ago, so she returned to school and graduated in 2011 with a journalism degree. An avid moviegoer, she enjoys photography, traveling, and cycling around White Rock Lake. She lives in the artsy Lakewood area of Dallas.
If Mary were to write an autobiography, it would be titled: It’s a Wonderful Life…Most of the Time.
In Mary’s opinion:
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
The apostle Peter. He became a revolutionary man despite his past mistakes.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A human-interest writer/storyteller/journalist.
Who is your favorite cartoon character and why?
Scooby Doo. He’s a big old lug of a mutt who scares easily and loves unconditionally. I want to love and live with abandon like Scooby and other canines.
What is the most embarrassing mistake you’ve ever made?
Wearing an outfit at a party that passed as a shorts-and-top set but was actually Victoria Secret pajamas. Everybody knew it was pajamas except me.
Name one thing you miss about being a kid.
Rolling down a grassy hill, carefree.
What is the best book you’ve read in the last decade?
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
