Our Eyes Are Fixed On: Ken Bethea
Your eyes did not deceive you! The Old 97′s own Ken Bethea is moseying on down to the Oral Fixation Stage!
Raised in a forest in East Texas, Ken fled the Piney Woods for the Dallas in 1988. He started the Old 97′s in 1993 and has spent the last 20 years driving around the country bending guitar strings and looking for the perfect breakfast. He lives in Lake Highlands and is married with two kids.

Sneak Peek: “In late July, we lost a 2-1 heart breaker to Palestine in the state playoffs, leaving me with 4 weeks with not a thing to do. I spent this time of course, thinking about her and wondering if she ever thought about me. I even did the most shameful of shameful acts: that is, writing the words ‘I love Daphne’ in bubble letters on a piece of paper, staring at it, then taking it out into the deep woods and burning it.”
